Over the last year, the name TikTok has echoed around the world as it has swiftly become known as the hottest social network in the world right now. These days, it is virtually impossible to make a name for yourself among the industry heavyweights, yet TikTok has done just that, and its rapid rise can be seen in a range of impressive statistics:
- Over 800 million active users every month, globally.
- More than 2 billion downloads across Google PlayStore and the Apple App Store in the last few years.
- The application par excellence and the most downloaded worldwide in March 2020 with more than 115.2 million installations.
Of all its daily users, those who stand out the most are various influencers and even celebrity profiles whose videos are a roaring success and receive millions of views on every upload.
Following a study we carried out of the platform, Influencity have ranked different influencers taking into account a range of existing profiles, according to both their reach and subject matter. We also looked at the types of content which have gone viral, boast the best positioning or deliver the best results.
After analyzing these points, we focused on a sector which is currently booming on TikTok, beauty. Taking into consideration the content posted, which types work better and how the public reacts to these new types of posts, we have created a list of female profiles which best represent the world of beauty in Mexico.
On this list, you can find TikTok influencers in Mexico with different levels of following, from macro profiles with millions of followers, to micro profiles with around 20,000. The one common denominator across all of these profiles is their ability to stand out on social media thanks to their innovative ways of creating content: useful and unique short videos about makeup, beauty and skincare.

1. Carelquezada
Carel is one of the most well-known influencers in Mexico due to her presence on different social networks with content relating to makeup and lifestyle, from personalized courses to workshops and tips about her favorite products. Mexican influencer Monica’s social media is full of content relating to the world of beauty, specifically makeup. Lilia has one of the most versatile profiles with regards to content as she doesn’t only focus on makeup, but also hair and nail products, skincare and occasionally she even ventures into fashion. Her TikTok is jam-packed with videos containing the hashtag #tipsdebelleza (beauty tips) in which she shares her favorite brands and advice on how and when to use them. 4. Theurbanbeauty
Pau not only labels herself as a beauty blogger, but also has tonnes of content which has gone viral including challenges, music videos or videos with special effects. Brenda identifies as a beauty Blogger who specializes in fashion, beauty and skincare tips. Her videos are made up mainly of advice and interesting facts about skincare, as well as her favorite products. If you’d like to see her full stats, click here.

Esa’s specialized content is makeup. In her biography she defines herself as a beauty blogger and includes her skin type so her audience know who the products she uses are aimed at. Ana’s account is considered a “micro profile” on TikTok, but she has a substantial following on Instagram with almost 200k followers.
