All Influencity Affiliates are required to complete the agreement and remain in compliance with these terms. This list contains everything you need to know to be an Influencity affiliate, including resources, recommendations, and some fun legal stuff.
Getting Started / Resources
- Apply: If you're not yet part of the Influencity Affiliate Program, you can apply here.
- Affiliate Starter Kit: We’ve put together this Starter Kit to walk you through how to begin promoting Influencity products, including tips and tricks, how to use your portal, and where to access links and assets. This will be your go-to resource for all things the affiliate program.
- Account: You can log into your account at any time and track your clicks and referrals here.
- Need anything else?: If you ever need anything else or have questions, feel free to reach out to the team at marketing@influencity.com
Commissions:
-
Commission Rates: You receive a 20% commission based on the customer’s first and recurring purchases depending on the tier of the product purchased.
-
Limitations:
- While the customer remains as a customer, you will earn your commission. If the customer cancels his account and reactivate it later, you will lose your commission.
- You receive a commission for new customers who are not in an active sales process with us at the time of the affiliate link click.
- The customer needs to be an active customer for at least 60 days.
- The customer must land on and sign up on the influencity.com landing page to be properly tracked.
- Affiliate links rely on cookies to track sales so the customer cannot have cleared their cookies.
- Only affiliate links can be used to track sales. Incorrect use of affiliate links will cause the inability to track referrals.
- You cannot use affiliate links to refer clients you are servicing. You'll need to join the Agency Partner Program and register them as a lead.
There are a number of other limitations that may result in commission not being paid - we encourage you to read the Marketing Affiliate Program Agreement for more information on this.
- Upgrades/downgrades: You do receive an additional commission if a customer upgrades to a higher-tiered product in the future. You also lose commission if they downgrade to a lower-tiered product in the future.
- Refunds: We have a non-refund policy, but there are exceptions. If we face one of these exceptions and we have to refund the customer, you also lose your commission.
- PayPal or Bank Account: Be sure to add your PayPal email or bank account to your Promoter profile so we can send you your commissions. We pay commissions on the 15th of each month for commissions that qualified in the prior quarter. That is on April 15th, July 15th, October 15th and January 15th.
- Attribution: In the event a single customer clicks two different affiliate links, the first affiliate gets the credit.
-
Cookie Window: 60 days of clicking your affiliate link.
Promoting Influencity
- Influencity Branding:
- Do: Use the language and assets we’ve provided to you in the affiliate tool and in this Google Drive folder.
- Do Not:
- Use false or misleading statements on the benefits of using Influencity (e.g. “Get rich quick with Influencity”).
- Capitalize the “C” in “Influencity”. You’d be surprised at how many times that happens. Sigh.
Reference our style guide and basic guidelines around trademarks and copyright here. - Modify or adjust the Influencity wordmark or logo in any sort of marketing material you might create, including the creation of any visual badges or dual-logo lockups.
- What to call yourself:
As we have multiple ways to partner with Influencity and several ways to reference those relationships, here are some guidelines around what you can and cannot call yourself within the Influencity Affiliate Program.- Do: Say you’re an “Influencity Marketing Affiliate” or “Marketing Affiliate”
- Do Not: Refer to yourself as a Partner or that you’ve “partnered with Influencity.” This includes press releases, references in videos, listings on your website, or in any other marketing material you may be using
- Buying Ads
You will not purchase ads that direct to your site(s) or through an affiliate link that could be considered as competing with Influencity’s own advertising, including, but not limited to, our branded keywords.
Policies that don’t fit into the other buckets
- Survey Participation: We would encourage you to participate in any Affiliate-specific NPS surveys, industry surveys, marketing surveys, etc. as we request.
- Sharing Placements: When requested, you’ll share the places you’ve used your affiliate link. This includes, but is not limited to, links, screenshots, and email sends.
- Purchasing Influencity yourself: One of the benefits of the Affiliate Program is we don’t require you to purchase Influencity products. However, if you decide to purchase, we require that you do not use your affiliate link.
- Startups Program: When promoting Influencity for Startups Program, you are not allowed to use an affiliate link.
- Sales Partner/ Agency Partner Programs: If you’re also part of one of these programs, you will only receive a commission for either that program or the affiliate program depending on whether you registered the lead or the customer went through your affiliate link. When working with clients, we recommend you register the lead and NOT use your affiliate link.
